Sabelo is a former Group Commercial Executive of the Bidvest Group Limited (listed in the Johannesburg Stock Exchange), a former Chairperson of the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency, a former Deputy Chairperson of the Gauteng Gambling Board, and a former Vice Chairman of the Federated Hospitality Association of Southern Africa Inland. He is a former Senior Manager of Hospitality, Leisure and Tourism Group in KPMG.
He was part of the management team that organised the first democratic election in South Africa in 1994. He was amongst the first South African government officials to establish the first government administration in 1995. He served in the South African government led by both President Nelson Mandela and President Thabo Mbeki. He was part of the management team that orgnanised the United Nation Summit on Sustainable Development in 2002. He was part of the
management team that wrote the 2010 FIFA World Cup Bid Book that secured the hosting rights of the FIFA World Cup for South Africa.
He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Fort Hare and done numerous leadership programmes, locally and abroad. He studied Blockchain and Digital Currencies at the University of Capetown. He has travelled to many countries around the world.
